Título do Estudo: Tecnología de la Información Aplicada al Proceso de Gestión Educativa: Um Estudio em Instituciones de Educación Superior
ABSTRACT:
This research compares
Information Technology software used in the academic management of Higher
Education Institutions to create software using the Project Management Body of
Knowledge (PMBOK) methodology that is advantageous for educational management.
To this end, the following objectives were proposed: I) To examine the
occurrence of digital transformation in the Information Technology environment;
II) To map the educational management software applied in the context of three
Higher Education Institutions; III) To compare three Information Technology
software regarding their characteristics, advantages and disadvantages for
Educational Management; IV) To understand users' perceptions about Information
Technologies used in Higher Education; V) To propose, using the PMBOK® Project
Management methodology, the development of a prototype of an interface that can
present contributions of qualitative improvements for Educational Management in
Higher Education Institutions. The method involves quantitative research, of
the type of comparative study of educational management software from three
Higher Education Institutions. Uses as research instruments the observation of
educational management software on platforms and questionnaires to capture the
perceptions of users about information technologies. The data collected are
analyzed through a comparative, quantitative and descriptive analysis to
propose a prototype with improvements for the creation of a more complete and
integrated Virtual Learning Environment. The results reveal the peculiarities of
each system, with emphasis on the TOTVS System and AVA due to the completeness
of the indicators evaluated. Users prefer an academic management system with
computerized information integrated with the AVA, on a single platform. It is
concluded that the systems complement each other when compared and that the
users' perceptions contributed to the creation of a unique academic management
system as the most relevant contribution of this study.

Título do Estudo: Análisis del Modelo de Educación Ambiental Aplicado en la Escuela de Ingenieria de Lorena de la Universidad de Sao Paulo
ABSTRACT:
Environmental education
is itself an important way to disseminate knowledge for environmental
conservation. This issue, however, presents some complexity. After all, it is
not easy to spread it on a large scale with the practical implementation of its
concepts. There are critical factors that go against the processes for
environmental conservation, such as: the competitive pursuit of economic
growth for countries, the use of unclean energy, and the promotion of the
consumer society and capitalist interests among others. In this context,
practical applications of environmental education become rather complex to
implement. However, sustainable growth is something achievable provided that
there is a concerted effort on the part of society, governments, industry and
social organizations. Educational institutions at different levels can and
should contribute in this process by using environmental education as the main tool and strategy for promoting
environmental causes. The methodology of this study made use of literature and
exploratory research to analyze the Escola de Engenharia
de Lorena of Universidade de São Paulo (EEL USP)
actions in favor of environment. To do this, we observed the following stages:
I) reducing energy consumption in a laboratory unit; II) accounting for
educational actions of Programa USP Recicla; III) reducing pollution through the effluent
treatment plant; IV) environmental monitoring of Serra da Mantiqueira;
V) analysis of the curriculum of that institution. Following observations,
it can be seen that the actions taken at EEL USP are important contributions
towards environment conservation. However, given the
unfortunate scenario of environmental destruction of the
planet, actions like these, through the practical application of concepts
available for Environmental Education require an urgent
expansion, at a faster rate, for a better preservation of the
environment, the protection of future generations and the
implementation of sustainable growth.

Título do Estudo: Conservação de Energia no Processo Cervejeiro *
ABSTRACT:
Brewing processes are often mentioned as a typical and traditional example
of biotechnology. However, due to the increase in demand and the need for
higher productivity and quality of the product obtained, studies have been
carried out at the several production stages. High initial sugars concentrions technology (high-gravity brewing) consists in
the preparation and fermentation of concentrated work with a consequent product
dilution, aiming at higher productivity and efficiency with minimum production
costs without affecting the beer´s quality. This way, one of the advantages of
this process is the growing capacity for beer production by a more efficient
utilization of the plant’s facilities; with a higher alcohol production per
extract unit besides the reduction in the costs of energy, labor and effluents.
Some studies report a 14% reduction in energy consumption when the work
concentration was increased from 12 to 15° P. However, there are also some
disadvantages such as a less effective yeast performance in the fermentation
step decreasing the productivity when high concentrations are employed.

ABSTRACT:
The present work aims to define strategies to be
implemented at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering of Lorena (Faenquil) making use of the Information Technology (IT).
Creating good strategies is of great importance for the management of teaching
institutions to be as good as possible, and in the case of this work, Faenquil will be used as a laboratory. Some of the topics that
will be dealt with are: the mission, targets, aims, weak and strong points,
scenes and methods of developing a technology in a strategic way with
efficiency and efficacy. This work comprises two stages: consulting specialized
publications and conducting experiments with the aid of a statistical software
for a comparative study. The final objective is to show how to employ the
Information Technology today to ensure safety, reliability, quickness and
efficacy for a satisfactory and reliable decision process.
